I’m Otavio, a software engineer focused on backend development, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure. At WEG, I work on electric mobility, building services and integrations that connect devices, data, and real-time operations.
My work follows the full lifecycle of a service: understanding the problem, shaping the solution, implementing, testing, and learning from how it behaves in production.
In electric mobility, that includes real-time communication, integrations, and flows where consistency and reliability matter. I enjoy turning complex requirements into clear, observable systems that are ready to evolve.

I work on services that communicate with charging stations over OCPP. The work spans concurrency, reconnections, timeouts, retries, and production failure scenarios — the details that make an operation dependable when hundreds or thousands of connections are active at once.
I optimized services, database usage patterns, and queries in a live platform. Combining load analysis, query reviews, and infrastructure adjustments reduced data-layer cost without compromising the product’s observed performance.
I designed and built a telemetry gateway that receives data from different vendors and channels. A normalization pipeline turns those inputs into a shared contract, while Redis serves recent reads and S3 with Parquet supports analytical history.

I work as a Software Engineer on the WEMOB platform, taking end-to-end responsibility for backend services: technical discovery, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support. My path at WEG began in the software development apprenticeship, which built the practical foundation for this work.

Asynchronous communication, Kafka, WebSockets, and fault tolerance.
